purchasing a rifle online - tips

If you are purchasing one of our rifles online from a vendor or dealer who is not on our authorized dealers list, please review the following for guidance on this purchase.

1. Check the return policy of the vendor. If you are not happy with the rifle, make sure you can return it for a full refund. Some vendors have a specific time frame, usually less than a week. Make sure you are aware of this before you make your purchase.

2. When you receive the rifle at your FFL, carefully inspect the firearm before you leave the FFL's shop. Cosmetic defects or damage are not covered by warranty once you take possession of the rifle and leave the FFL. If you find a defect, contact the vendor and return the rifle if necessary. If you take it home, understand that you may be putting your warranty into question. "I found this big dent / crack / scratch in the stock when I got it home.." won't be covered.

3. Verify the importer of the firearm - do not get caught with a Grey Market rifle; these have no warranty, even if they are New In Box.

4. Verify the manufacturer date of the rifle - just because it is new in box does not mean the rifle is in new condition. Rust, stock warpage, and other problems can occur if the rifle is not properly stored. These are also not covered by warranty.

5. Any product purchased from an outside vendor has a warranty which is subject to review.
