AV Models
For our models listed as "AV", indicating that they are threaded, the barrel is threaded 1/2" x 28 tpi as well as being counter-bored back from the threads at the factory in Ulm.
This prevents a "loose" spot from developing where the threads are cut. Any time you remove metal from a barrel for threads, you also end up stress-relieving that area.
The counter-bore is a machining process by which the metal is removed underneath the threads, placing the muzzle back under the full thickness of the barrel.
This extra effort has proven through extensive testing to preserve accuracy and is standard practice for all AV models destine for the USA market. Custom Shop rifles also follow this practice for top accuracy.

Above is a link to a picture of the various actions we build showing the location of the trigger group, recoil lug, and action screws. We are often asked if actions can be swapped among stocks, and what stocks will fit specific actions. It was our thought that by creating this image, it would answer many of these questions. It's also a handy piece of information to have if you plan on doing any stock work.
We do not show actions which are no longer in production.
The best way to understand the differences between actions is to review the image linked above and then read over the following points:
Left Handed Actions
Left handed actions are mirror images of what is below, but not all models are offered in left handed orientation. These modes are shown in detail under the rifles tabs, in their respective categories. We will update the 1727 L in .22lr shortly.
Barrel Attachment Methods
The following notes list how each model and barrel are mated by the factory:
